Royal School District needs two (2) bus drivers:

 

Route 1) 4.5 Hr.- Starting 01/06/2025
Route 2) 5 Hr. Starting 02/01/2025

 

 

Job Description

  • Drives the bus on assigned routes in a legal and safe manner.
  • Instruct students and teachers in emergency bus evacuation procedures (conducted twice a year).
  • Instruct students in proper bus conduct.
  • Reports misconduct on the bus through established district procedures.
  • Operate a two-way radio.
  • Operate cellular telephone ONLY as needed to contact supervisor in an emergency situation. The cell phone is absolutely not to be used while the bus is moving.
  • Conducts pre-trip and post-trip bus inspections to ensure that all parts are operating and the bus is safe.
  • Fuels the bus as needed.
  • Cleans the interior of the bus daily.
  • Cleans the exterior of the bus as needed.
  • Completes daily log forms and other required paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Ability to follow a schedule.
  • Ability to work well with others and promote a positive attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School graduate, or GED.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of state-approved bus driver training course.

 

Terms of Employment

  • Starting Date:      2 routes starting: January 6th & February 1st, 24-25 School Year
  • Salary:                 $24.06-$29.98 hourly Per PSE Salary Schedule 2024-2025 School Year
  • Hours:                  TBD
  • Benefits:           Retirement (Department of Retirement Systems), medical, dental, and life insurance benefits (SEBB                              through HCA)
